Classic Hollywood Cinema.

3 examples of classic hollywood cinema dating from 1920-1950:
. King Kong (1933)  (video of colorized version)

. Some Like It Hot (1959)

. Top Hat (1935)

Classic Hollywood cinema is mainly considered formalist as it uses continuity editing, where it makes it seem like you are there watching whats happening. It doesn't use any cuts and uses little editing.

ntinuity editing. We will be looking at this next lesson and you can come back and identify what this is and why it's a formalist technique.

Sorry, I couldn't see the rest of your post on your page, but I can now on the comments page. Check your layout. Do still come back to your comments here when we've looked at continuity editing more closely.
