To what extent can Run Lola Run be considered a formalist film?

Run Lola Run can be considered a formalist film as it uses cartoon section and slow motion many times. It also repeats itself 3 times, a little like groundhog day. 

The director also uses allot of bright stand out colours like shocking red and bright yellow t draw attention to certain objects, for example the watch hand is red and so is the ambulance.

The director uses techno trance music to give the movie a slightly hazy feel.
